Tooltips broken[editar]
I first noticed this problem when I was renaming (moving) Plantilla:Bahá'í to Plantilla:Bahá’í. After the move, tooltips stopped working, and now they also stop working if I edit the link to the top image in the page (the image that appears in the tooltip). Previously I was able to solve the problem by redoing the move (move it back and forth), but now it seems to be cropping up randomly. Currently the tooltip for Fe bahá’í is not working. Thought I'd let you know before trying the workaround once again. Ernobe (discusión) 07:59 28 sep 2023 (PDT)
- This edit appears to have fixed the problem, apparently the extension requires either text or an image to be at the start of the page, as opposed to templates or headings. Let me know if it's not working anywhere else. David (discusión) 08:25 28 sep 2023 (PDT)
Possible typo[editar]
At this edit there appears to be a misplaced "e" at the end of ".page-Página_principale". (maybe Italian?) Ernobe (discusión) 23:42 18 oct 2023 (PDT)
Blockquote in new skin[editar]
Hi,
The blockquote html element in the current skin is not working. I've tried installing the Spanish wiki equivalent of {{cquote}}
but it reduces the font size (see https://es.bahaipedia.org/index.php?title=Fe_bahá’í&oldid=1937#Resurrección_y_Juicio_Final). Aside from this, the "Herramientas" (Tools) toolbox in the sidebar has text overlapping its box. And on your English talk page the "Please click here to leave me a message" box has a link pointing to bahaikipedia which results in a security risk warning on Firefox. - Thank you, everything you mentioned should be fixed now. Let me know! David (discusión) 13:55 24 oct 2023 (PDT)
Bahaicite template[editar]
Hi,
I've created a Bahaicite template which makes wikilinks to a citewo2 reference using a "ref" parameter. Here is an example: {{bahaicite/wo2|8|1|6|ref=example}}. I'm not familiar enough with the markup to make all of your bahai.works cite templates fit into a single Bahaicite template. Should I go ahead and make separate templates like this on the English wiki?
Plantilla:Bahaicite/wo2

- I don't quite understand the purpose of that template, how is it better than {{citewo2|8|1|6}}? What is the function of |ref=example? Is the goal to have /wo/bn/bw etc all in one place? I've kept the template short so people can type them in from memory. I'm in the process of overhauling all those templates to use bahaidata right now too, with the goal of having complete citations built from just the minimal information the templates require. I was meaning to let you know about that because of this edit, the template will eventually also return the author(s), article title, possibly editors, etc. along with other details already included. - The function of |ref=example is to make a wikilink to a citewo2 reference. That is the goal. As they are, the /wo/wo2/bn/bw templates insert a complete reference into an articles' text. With the Bahaicite template, it would be possible to put them where they belong in the references section and link to them in the articles' text with the |ref=example parameter that creates a wikilink. A lot more information can be put into a wikilink as opposed to a simple numerical footnote link, such as the name of the article, or any other descriptive item in the text that can be used to link to the article. That is the whole point of the Wikicite template itself: to allow us to wikilink to reference sections that contain links to the articles' reference material using the |reference= parameter. - I see. Unless someone views the wikitext they will see citations at the end of the page, I don't see a benefit to {{bahaicite}} when the end result is the same in both cases (references at the bottom). If it functions like {{sfn}} and creates an extra click before someone can get to the citation they are looking for (first click to the notes section, second to the actual citation) I don't particularly like that approach either. I do agree the wikitext becomes much, much easier to manage compared with full citations, but {{citewo2|8|1|6}} is the same amount of information as {{sfn|MacEoin|1992|p=15}}. My preference on the English side would be to preserve the citewo2/bw/bn etc. templates and let them use bahaidata to build full citations because it's less information/complexity for the editors to remember, the result is the same, and the inline text isn't any more complicated. That's just for the English project, here on the Spanish version I wouldn't try to dictate or really weigh in on how you want to set things up unless you asked!
